Brevoort Park Concrete Storm Retention System

This project was undertaken with the aim to mitigate flood risks in the existing neighborhood of Brevoort Park in East Central Saskatoon by installing a large underground concrete retention tank and supporting stormwater piping for runoff collection and conveyance. The project involved the installation of 450mm PVC and 1500mm RCP storm main to distribute stormwater to the concrete storm trap. This project also included replacement of outdated watermains to rehabilitate water distribution infrastructure. Specific scopes of work included:
- Installed 390 meters of 1500mm Class III RCP Storm Main, 281 meters of 450mm PVC Ultra-Rib Storm main
- Installed 416 meters of 150mm PVC watermain
- 28,000m3 of excavation to install Storm Trap System
- Installation of 3,082m2 concrete Storm Trap
