Saskwater Buffalo Pound Regina Regional Pipeline

SaskWater Buffalo Pound Non-Potable Water Supply System Regina Regional Pipeline

The SaskWater Buffalo Pound Project was a 64,000 meter raw water pipeline that services the future canola crushing plants in the northeast sector of Regina.  Due to the large volume of water required for these end users, SaskWater needed to build a pipeline from an existing source 64km west of Regina.  The pipeline was constructed through farmland and natural areas while crossing rural roads, highways, CN and CP rail lines, high-risk oil and gas lines, and multiple wetlands. Specific scopes of work included:

  • Installed 64,000 meters of  500/600mm Ductile Iron and 400mm HDPE pipe
  • Completed Auger Bore trenchless crossings for 33 Rural Road, 3 High Risk Pipeline, 3 Railroad, 2 Creek, and 3 Major Highway Crossings
  • Installed 2 Booster Stations with steel pipe fabrication self performed by HAMM
  • Completed 64,000 meters of ROW stripping and reclamation
